Upon purchase you'll be enrolled onto our e-learning platform were, you'll work alongside your tutor to complete the theoretical side of your qualification, whilst preparing for your practical assessment with out in person workshops at The LAB.

Once you have passed, THIS IS JUST THE START. You'll be introduced to your mentor who you'll work with over the next 8 weeks, covering everything from the basics of setting up a coaching business to practical and client centered programming! (see here for more details)

LEVEL 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing

 

Our blended learning model incorporates our eLearning portal, tutor webinars, practical workshops and practical assessments to make you a high performaning personal trainer.

 

This qualification aims to train learners to a professionally competent level, enabling them to instruct and evaluate gym based inductions whilst assisting more qualified instructors in delivery of personal training programmes.

 

 During the qualification learners will cover:

        • Anatomy and physiology for exercise
        • Know how to support clients who know how to take part in exercise and physical activity
        • Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment
        • Principles of exercise, fitness and health
        • Planning gym-based exercise
        • Instructing gym-based exercise
 

Entry Requirements

 

Some experience of gym-based exercises, including free weights, is highly recommended.

There is also an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication.

    • In order to complete your Level 2 Certificate in Gym instructing qualification you'll be required to complete and pass online knowledge tests, submit coursework and complete practical assessments.

How does it work?

Once you have decided which qualification/package you would like to do we'll enrol you on that chosen qualification.

 

- From there you work through your course on our e-learning platform with the support from your tutor as well as live study webinars and practical workshops carried out at The Lab. in Liverpool

 

- Once you've completed your coursework and feel ready, it's time to book your assessment(s).

 

- Upon completion of your assessments at The Lab. in Liverpool you'll go on to have a great career as a personal trainer!
